Dr. Albrey Hogan
Assistant Superintendent in San Antonio, Texas
Dr. Albrey Hogan, a proud Chickasaw Citizen, is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs at Southwest ISD. Dr. Hogan received her MA in Curriculum & Instruction and her Doctorate in Global Educational Leadership. Dr. Hogan completed her dissertation on Multidisciplinary Approaches to Treatment and Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is a published author and has spoken at a wide range of conferences on topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Special Education in Public Schools and Evidence-based practices to support neurodiverse populations. Her passion for building an inclusive community for children and embracing innovative practices in education is evident in all of her work.
Some of her more notable accomplishments over the last 10 years are; being awarded multiple competitive grants totaling over $10 million, establishing partnerships with Universities to create a pipeline of high quality professionals to support Southwest ISD students, establishing the first Autism camp & year long Academy to address social and communication skills in a public school setting in San Antonio, and working alongside the Fine Arts Department to establishing the first Penguin Project program in South Texas. Dr. Hogan's career is built on a foundation of establishing and maintaining a community that embraces and support all students.
